How to Solve Hydraulic Cylinder Failures in Extreme Conditions?

 For procurement managers in mining, infrastructure, and heavy machinery, finding a 100mm diameter, 7.5m long piston rod is not the real challenge. The true difficulty lies in ensuring it won't bend, corrode, or score under high-humidity in Brazil, extreme heat in the Middle East, or heavy-duty impacts in Australia.

 

 To address these pain points, we have optimized the production process for 42CrMo (SAE 4140) precision shafts, solving customer concerns through three technical dimensions:

 

 

 For 100mm large-diameter shafts, we ensure an induction hardening depth of 1.5-3mm with a surface hardness of HRC 50-60. This effectively prevents surface damage from debris impacts, significantly extending oil seal life.

 

 

 Straightness is critical for 7500mm (7.5m) shafts. We utilize advanced quenching, tempering, and straightening processes to ensure every hardened piston rod meets international standards, preventing oscillation and wear during long-stroke operations.

 

Our 30μm hard chrome plating combined with fine polishing provides exceptional corrosion resistance and surface smoothness, reducing internal friction within the hydraulic system.
